KW: Thank you Golden Spirit team for meeting with us. Tell us about your upcoming film Rule of Lead Golden Spirit.
GS: Thank you for having us. The Rule of Lead: Golden Spirit is the U.S. remake of Italian critically acclaimed film La Regola del Piombo by director Giacomo Arrigoni. A supernatural thriller with a social message dedicated to the fight against children abuse and exploitation. The campaign is aimed at supporting the production of the film and bringing to life its humanitarian message, as 10% of the net profits of the film will be donated to the international organization Save the Children.
KW: Tell us about yourself and your team
GS: The campaign is managed by Giacomo Arrigoni, writer director from Italy, and by producers Alexia Melocchi and Alexandra Yacovlef of LITTLE STUDIO FILMS.
KW: Tell us your story?
GS: We decided to spread the humanitarian message of the original low budget film with a bigger film set in the US, to reach a wider audience and create a more compelling film.
KW: Tell us what is unique about your project?
GS: It’s the US remake of a micro budget self produced movie that got awards and recognition in spite of its independent nature: a demonstration both of talent and the power of the universal message of the film, that is entertainment but also art with a meaning.
KW: What preparation work did you carry out prior to launching on Indiegogo? How many hours was that?
GS: Research of the crowdfunding platforms and operating model, preparation of all the audio-visual and text content for the campaign, analysis of the social networks needed to share the campaign. Around 30 days of preparation.
KW: How many people did you reach out to prior to launch?
GS: Quite a lot, the launch was anticipated with posts on the major social networks and press releases.
KW: How much budget did you spend so far on this campaign?
GS: Personally I spent 150 Dollars on Facebook promotion
KW: thanks for your time, we wish you the best of success. Please support this project at: http://igg.me/at/goldenspirit
